Shine On, Wolfpack!

Did your student come home from school on Thursday with a Wolfpack Shine Award?

This little green certificate is given out when we see students exemplifying our character traits (We are Kind, We are Safe, We are Respectful, We are Responsible) during our afternoon lunch block.  

This positive behavior award came about because, after studying our previous years’ data collection on office discipline referrals, we learned that Thursday afternoon always had an uptick in behavior instances.  Knowing this, we decided to put the trend in reverse and purposely look for positive behavior!  During the lunch block, Mrs. Day, Mrs. Noriega and Mrs. Bell will roam around looking for positive behavior to shine the light on our amazing students!  Seeing us out there looking for positive behavior, in turn, has reduced the number of students coming into the office for discipline referral reasons.  Win-Win!  

Students who receive a “Wolfpack Shine Award” go to the office where they get to sign their name on our poster, receive a cheer from the office staff and a note home from admin letting you know how much we appreciate your amazing student.  

So, on Thursday afternoons be on the lookout for our Wolfpack Shine Awards! Shine On, Wolfpack!
