Change of leadership at CSI this summer

Dear CSI Families:

I am writing to let you know about some changes that will come to Campbell School of Innovation this summer.

Principal Kami Thordarson plans to retire at the end of this school year. She has been instrumental in launching and guiding CSI as a TK-8 school that teaches through the lens of design thinking and growth mindset.

I have named Xyzzy Godfrey, the current Village School principal, to be the CSI administrator starting with the 2023-2024 school year. Principal Godfrey will be joining Assistant Principal Day in leading the school.

She has more than 15 years of teaching and leadership experience in Campbell Union School District, both at elementary and middle school levels. She was Assistant Principal at Capri for two years before becoming Village School’s principal. She is excited about furthering CSI’s mission as a community that seeks, learns, and leads.

Principal Thordarson is looking forward to seeing CSI’s first group of 8th graders promote from the school. She is committed to CSI’s mission and supporting a smooth transition of leadership. We wish her much happiness when her time to retire arrives.
